Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has ruled out a possible move to Manchester United in the summer.
The Dutch international has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United following the appointment of Louis van Gaal. Report suggested that the Dutch national team coach was interested in signing the former Chelsea man as he looks to strengthen the squad. But Arjen Robben has now dismissed the rumours linking him with a move to Old Trafford and stated his happiness to continue his career with Bayern Munich.
“Manchester United? That’s not an option. I am staying at Bayern Munich. Period.
“And I cannot imagine that Bayern would want to sell me.
“I have only just renewed my contract and we are happy with each other. It would have been a different story had I been unhappy.
“I would have been open to a move then, because I had a great time under Van Gaal at Bayern. He has been very important for my career. However, fact is that I am very happy at my current club.” ai??i?? The Bayern Munich winger said in an interview.
Arjen Robben also felt that Manchester United have made the right decision by appointing van Gaal at the helm.
“I think United did great to appoint Van Gaal.ai??? ai??i?? Robben added.
Manchester United are expected to spend heavily in this transfer market as they look to put behind their disappointing season last time around. They have been linked with a host of players from Bayern Munich including Toni Kroos and Arjen Robben. Kroos had earlier revealed his desire to remain at Bayern Munich and now Robbenai??i??s comments might be a big blow to Unitedai??i??s transfer plans.
