Former Juventus and Chelsea striker Gianluca Vialli has said that Tottenham Hotspur are in contact with Andrea Pirlo for next season.
The 34-year-old joined Juventus back in 2011 and since then he has been part of two Serie A winning squads. Pirlo has been a key player in Antonio Conteai??i??s side and his partnership with Marchisio and Vidal has been the backbone on which Juventusai??i?? recent success has been built. But Pirloai??i??s current contract with the Italian club expires at the end of the season and his future at the club has come under a lot of speculation.
Reports suggest that Juventus have suspended talks for an extension in Pirloai??i??s contract until February, which means the midfield maestro will be free to hold talks with interested clubs in January. Pirlo has already made it clear that he has no intention of hanging up his boots anytime soon and has also refused to rule out a move to a new club. He emphasized on the fact that he must feel important in a side to continue playing for them.

But former Juventus striker Gianluca Vialli believes that English club Tottenham Hotspur have already contacted Pirlo regarding a move to White Hart Lane next summer.

A few other European clubs are also reportedly monitoring Pirloai??i??s situation at Juventus, but this rumour of Tottenhamai??i??s interest will not only excite the Spurs fans, but will also have Premier League fans on the edge of their seat. But it is hard to fathom Tottenham being interested in signing a 34-year-old footballer, considering their recent policy of investing in fairly young players. Moreover, Pirlo would perhaps prefer staying in Italy at this point of his career.
Juventus for their part are perhaps already preparing for a future without Pirlo. Paul Pogba is seen as the long term replacement for him in the side and there are also reports of their interest in Spanish midfield Xabi Alonso ai??i?? whose future at Real Madrid has also come under a lot of speculation.
