Manchester United travel to Cardiff City Stadium for their next Premier League fixture as they look to maintain their new found momentum after the long international break. The break came at a wrong time for David Moyes, who is finally starting to win over his doubters after a massive win over Arsenal in their last league fixture. But it is important for United to maintain this momentum after suffering from a slow start this season.
Newly promoted Cardiff City have given a fairly decent account of themselves so far this season. They are currently 14th in the league table, two points ahead of Fulham, who currently occupy the last relegation spot. After their massive derby victory over rivals Swansea, Cardiff lost out against Aston Villa away from home and Malky Mackay would hope for a quick response. But the Welsh club have a tough run of fixtures after this international break. After their match against Manchester United, they face Arsenal at home.
David Moyes was full of praise for the Cardiff City manager and lauded him for the wonderful job he has done so far.

The former Everton manager also said that he never gave up hope of turning around things after a slow start to their campaign. He explained that after the departure of Sir Alex the new man at helm would have always required time to settle down. Moyes has hoped that his side is able to maintain the momentum they gained before the international break.

“We go about our job, try and win the next game, whether it’s Arsenal or whoever. People are entitled to say what they want. All I can do I’d try to win the games.
“We’re on a good run at the moment, we’re feeling good, we’ve got a confidence about us and we want to try to keep that going.
“Everybody knew at the start what it was going to be like. We knew there was a change of manager and there were always going to be problems.
“But overall I think the players have been great. They have shown what they can do. Manchester United have proved over the years they get better as the season goes on.
“Hopefully we’re beginning to find our feet, get a bit of rhythm and we’ll continue to improve.
“We’d come off a couple of good results, and sometimes you want the games to keep coming thick and fast, but the international games are there and you can’t do anything about it.

There were concerns regarding the fitness of Nemanja Vidic. Ai??The center-back suffered from a concussion after a collision with David De Gea in the match against Arsenal and had to be taken off. But David Moyes insisted that the Serbian has recovered and will feature in the match against Cardiff.
