Manchester United are reportedly lining up a move for FC Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta as the future of the Spaniard comes under speculation.
Andres Iniesta has made 474 appearances for the Spanish side since making his first team debut in 2002. Lionel Messi might have grabbed most of the headlines in recent years, but Iniesta, along with Xavi and Puyol, have remained the main backbone of the Catalan side. But after such a long tenure at the club, Iniestaai??i??s future at the club has come under increased speculation.
The 29-year-oldai??i??s current contract expires in 2015 and he is yet to sign a contract extension with the club. Reports from Spain have suggested that there has been a fallout between Iniesta and the Barcelona management in recent times. Speculations suggest that Iniestaai??i??s relationship with the club has been on the edge since the departure of Pep Guardiola. The Spaniard is said to be unhappy about the recent departure of physio Emili Ricart, who worked closely with the midfielder, among all the recent changes at the club.
Barcelona are said to be desperate to retain the Spanish star, but Iniesta is believed to be considering a move away from the club. Despite all the rumours, Barcelona vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu has recent disclosed that the club is in advanced negotiation with Iniestaai??i??s representatives and sounded confident about retaining him.

Meanwhile, Manchester United manager David Moyes is believed to be monitoring Iniestaai??i??s contract situation with great interest and reports from England suggest that the reigning Premier League champions are considering an audacious move for him. Moyes is keen to add some creative spark in the midfield and has now turned his attention toward Iniesta after failing with his attempt to sign Fabregas in the summer transfer window. But it will be hard for United to negotiate a move with Barcelona, who are willing to increase Iniestaai??i??s wages in a bumper new contract.
