Juventus and AC Milan are monitoring Vidic’s contractual situation
According to latest reports from Italy Juventus have joined AC Milan in their quest to sign Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic.
Vidic, who joined the English club back in 2006, has made 271 appearances for United so far. He has been a key player under Sir Alex and has already won five Premier League titles and a Champions League during his stint. But the former Serbian internationalai??i??s current contract expires in June and talks for an extension are yet to get under way. This has led to a lot of speculations regarding his future with AC Milan, and now Juventus, monitoring his situation.
Juventus have been interested in Vidic for a long time but have found it hard to make a move for him, considering his stature at the English club. But with the defender entering the last year of his contract, they hope to lure him to Turin either in January or next season.
But both the Italian clubs will find it hard to convince Manchester United into letting go of their club captain. Vidic has been a charismatic and inspirational player for his side and has almost gained an iconic status among the fans. It is believed that David Moyes is keen to retain him and one of the possible reason behind the delay in signing a new contract is because neither of the parties involved feel it is a pressing need at the moment. If and when Manchester United offer him an extension, Vidic is expected to sign across the dotted line.

Marouane Fellaini to play for Belgium despite wrist injury
After their recent victory against Sunderland at the Stadium of lights, Manchester United manager David Moyes revealed that new signing Marouane Fellaini has picked up a wrist injury in their match against Shakhtar and will have to undergo a surgery.
“He’s got a wrist injury. He’s going to see a specialist. It doesn’t sound too good but we’ll wait and find out on Monday.” ai??i?? Moyes said.
Initial reports suggested that the midfielder could be out till December after undergoing the surgery. But now Belgium manager Marc Wilmots has suggested that Fellaini might play a part in their match against Croatia on Friday.
“Marouane Fellaini should be able to play for Belgium against Croatia in Zagreb on Friday. Marouane has suffered wrist ligament injury and will have to undergo surgery. He will join the squad and train on Tuesday with a splint.
“As far as I am concerned, in principle he is able to play Friday. This does not mean that he will automatically play. I have not heard from Manchester United asking that the operation should be as quickly as possible.” ai??i?? Wilmots said.
Adnan Januzaj yet to decide his international future
