Liverpool FC are looking to sign Granada left back Guilherme Siqueira, while reports from Italy suggest that the reds have entered the race for Juventus forward Alessandro Matri.

Liverpool are in the transfer market looking for a new left back, and reports suggest that they are interested in signing Granada defender Guilherme Siqueira.
Brendan Rodgers had earlier stated his desire to sign a new left-back as there is very little back-up for Jose Enrique. Liverpool have earlier been linked with Aly Cissokho and Benfica fullback Lorenzo Melgarejo, but both of the deals have failed to materialize so far. Interestingly though, Brendan Rodgers was looking to sign both of these left backs on loan, with an option make it permanent. It seems both Valencia and Benfica are only interested in permanent deals.
Now Liverpool have reportedly turned their attention to Brazilian left back Gulherme Siqueira. The 27-year-old currently plays for La Liga side Granada. Siqueira joined the Spanish after starting his senior career with Udinese. The Brazilian has also played for Inter Milan and Lazio in his youth career. Siqueiraai??i??s current contract expires in 2015 and Liverpool are hoping to sign him in a bargain deal. This time though, the Reds are eyeing a permanent move.
Siqueira impressed during his spell at Granada and helped his club in gaining promotion immediately after he joined them. Granada are unlikely to turn down any decent offer from Liverpool and reports suggest that the Spanish club value him at A?6m. He will be a good back-up for Jose Enrique and also has a decent goal scoring record for a left back.

Reports from Italy suggest that Liverpool are on the verge of hijacking Napoliai??i??s move for Juventus forward Alessandro Matri.
The 28-year-old made only 10 starts in the league last season and was expected to live the Serie A champions this summer. Matri, who has scored 29 goals in his 84 appearances for Juventus, since joining them from Cagliari back in 2010, is currently excess to requirement for Italian club. Juventus have signed Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente this summer, which means the likes of Matri and Quagliarella will have to be shipped out in order to balance the wage bill. Juventus have already sold Giaccherini to Sunderland this summer, and Matri is expected to follow soon.
Napoli are interested in signing the Italian forward and reports suggested that Juventus have already accepted a ai??i??12mbid from the Naples based club. But Matri is said to be considering other options, which has provided Liverpool with an opportunity to hijack this deal. The Reds are prepared to match Juventusai??i?? valuation of the forward and now both the clubs are waiting for Matri to arrive at a decision. Napoli have signed Higuain this summer and Matri will find it hard to get regular first team football at the club, where as Liverpool are unable to provide Champions League football this season.
It will be interesting to see whether the Mersey side clubai??i??s interest in Matri is an indication that Luis Suarez is close to leaving the club.
