Liverpool FC goalkeeper Pepe Reina has welcomed the possible addition of Simon Mignolet to the squad, while the Belgium internationalai??i??s agent says that the deal is yet to be completed.
Arsenal and Napoli were earlier linked with a move for the Sunderland goalkeeper, but Liverpool were always the front-runner in this race for his signature. In the past few days it was heavily reported that both the clubs have reached an agreement for a fee A?11m. But his agent Guy Vandermissen has now said that they are yet to be informed of any ai???agreementai??i??. He also stated that this is a massive move in his career and insisted that Mignolet would relish the competition he is set to receive from Pepe Reina for the number one jersey.
“We hope that there can be a deal and he can go to Liverpool.
“If you go from Sunderland to Liverpool it is a big step forward. You have to make decisions at certain times.

His agent also faced questions regarding Liverpoolai??i??s absence from European competition, but Vandermissen concluded that competing against top teams of England is no less than playing the European competitions.
