According to recent reports, Galatasaray is planning to raid FC Basel to acquire the famed signature of Shaqiri. According to their chairman, “Negotiations with Shaqiri will be completed by the end of the week“. Basel looks likely to sell Shaqiri with 10 million Euros being offered for him. According to Basel FC director George Heitz, they will like to keep him, but if a good offer comes, they might be prepared to offload him.
Bidding war erupts between Spurs and Liverpool over Loic Remy
Loic Remy has been linked with Spurs all month. In fact his agent had said, “Tottenham is a good club performing at a high level. It is natural to be interested, how do you say no? Spurs have a good eye but I think they will have only a small chance in January“. He is definitely interested in a move to England and Spurs seems to be the favorite to land him at the moment. But reports coming from Liverpool suggest that a representative of Remy is in Merseyside to initiate talks with Liverpool, but these rumours are far from concrete. At the moment, his most likely destination seems to be London.

Apparently, he has not been paid for the last five months which has led to this kind of outburst from the former Barcelona man.
