Emmanuel Adebayor has become increasingly disillusioned about his future at Tottenham Hotspur under manager Andre Villas-Boas.
Adebayor was permanently signed earlier this summer from Manchester City after his successful loan spell at the club last season. The former Arsenal striker had scored 17 goals and made 11 assists last season under former Spurs manager Harry Redknapp.
But Adebayor has had a tough start to this season under new manager Andre Villas-Boas. After returning from injury the Togolese striker is yet to start in a match. He has made four appearances so far; all as a substitute. Andre Villas-Boas has preferred Jermaine Defoe ahead of Adebayor and the English international has already scored five goals in the league. Defoe looks a revitalized striker under AVB as the Portuguese manager has shown immense faith in him.
Adebayor has earlier stated that he has no issues with Defoe and would gladly help him to become the leading goal scorer in the league.

But now it looks like Adebayor has realized that he is not part of AVBai??i??s future plans at the White Hart Lane. The former Manchester City striker found himself on the bench once again in the crucial match against Chelsea last weekend and according to Tottenham Hotspur source, Adebayor is considering his future elsewhere.

The 4-2-3-1 formation used by Andre Villas-Boas doesnai??i??t allow the scope for Defoe and Adebayor to play together in the team. Although Adebayorai??i??s superior physical strength would have made him a preferable choice for the role upfront, Defoe’s good goal scoring form this season has given him the edge. Adebayor is also not the most popular figure among the fans and a move away from Tottenham looks likely. Adebayorai??i??s departure in January will depend on whether Tottenham are able to bring in reinforcement at the top, as he and Defoe are the only recognized senior strikers left in the squad. But a move at the end of this season cannot be written off.
