1′: Here we go! The game gets underway at the colossal Yuvabharati Krirangan. Can Red-&-Gold get their campaign back on track with a win here, or will Pailan defense prove to be a tough nut to crack for the famed East Bengal line-up once-again?

2′: Red-&-Golds on the attack right from the word go! Nice exchange of passes between Sanju Pradhan and Penn Orji on the right wing. East Bengal earns the first corner of the game.

3′: Mehtab with the flag kick directed towards Penn Orji. Penn receives it well, but his right footed shot goes well over the wood-work!

4′: Foul by Robert earns Pailan a free-kick on the right wing.

5′: Nice commitment there from Robert, who produces a hard sliding tackle to clear the danger. East Bengal up on the counter now.

6′: Mehtab to Tolgay, brilliant forward pass, but a foul is awarded against the Australian.

7′: Once-again it’s Mehtab who finds Tolgay on the left. The Australian striker went for the glory from distance, but his shot is well off target.

8′: Another attack by Red and Golds. Tolgay tries to feed Penn on the edge of the box, but Pailan goalie Naveen comes out to smoother the attack.

9′: A rare attack from Arrows. Gurtej crosses from the right towards Sabeeth, but the ball was too close to Gurpreet who gathers easily.

10′: The score-line remains 0-0 after 10 minutes play.

11′: Where did that come from! That was close! Sabeeth controls the ball beautifully and lays it down for Prabir who shoots a screamer with his right foot – just wide of the target!

13′: Good interception by Lalrozama in Arrows defense to cut the supply line. Penn tries to feed an unmarked Tolgay inside the box, but the Mizo lad does well to prevent any chance of a danger.

15′: Good exchange of passes between Mehtab, Penn, Paite and Sanju – but finally the attack is nipped in the bud as Sanju is flagged offside.

15′: East Bengal 0-0 Pailan Arrows

17′: Good attack by Pailan Arrows down the left wing. Harmanjot Khabra is having some trouble playing in this unusual right back slot in the absence of Naoba and Nirmal, but Gurwinder extends a helping hand and the ball is cleared.

19′: Another attack by the young Indian U-23 side. Corner for Pailan Arrows.

20′: The flag kick is well cleared by Uga Okpara-led Red-&-Gold defense.

22′: Gurwinder is having a good game so far in the heart of East Bengal defense. Another Arrows attack comes to a standstill after encountering the Punjabi rock.

25′: Two back to back attack by East Bengal, but the end result is nil. Still goal-less.

27′: Brilliant through ball by Mehtab Hossain to Penn Orji. The Nigerian shoots from the edge of the Pailan box, but a very poor execution as the ball balloons over the cross-bar.

27′: GOOOOAAAAALLLLLL! Penn Orji is the man! East Bengal draws the first blood here!Ai??Total team effort by the Red-&-Golds. Brilliant run by Sanju, who goes past one defender and plays a little one-two with Tolgay – who lays the ball back to Sanju. Sanju fires a right-footer from inside the box, which is brilliantly parried away by Naveen, but Penn slots the rebound back in to the net with a clinical header!

27′: East Bengal 1-0 Pailan Arrows!

29′: East Bengal is completely dominating the contest now. Mehtab is playing the play-maker’s role to perfection.

30′: GOOOOAAAAALLLLLLL! East Bengal doubles the lead. Tolgay Ozbey on the scoring chart as his left footer crashes in to the back of net! This was Tolgay’s 51st goal for the Red-&-Golds.

32′: Another attack by Red-&-Golds, this time GurtejAi??is alert and clears the ball long.

34′: Counter attack by Arrows through Bijender Rai, who tries to find Sabeeth inside the box, but Gurpreet comes out and collects the ball.Ai??

35′: East Bengal 2-0 Pailan Arrows

37′: East Bengal are attacking in numbers. Arrows defense is in complete disarray. This is attacking football at its best!

39′: Paite with a bag full of trickery to deceive Rajeev and he sends a lofted ball inside the Arrows box, but Tolgay was not following up and Naveen collects without much fuss.

40′: A rare venture by Pailan Arrows’ players in to East Bengal half, but Mehtab tracks back to help out his defenders and now East Bengal is up on the counter yet again.

41′: Another attack by Arrows. It looks promising but Okpara fouls Bijender outside the box. Free kick for Arrows from a good position.

42′: Stunning save by Gurpreet! Bijender Rai unleashed an inch-perfect curler which seemed destined to slot in, but a full-stretched dive towards right by Gurpreet saves East Bengal the blushes!

44′: Prabir shoots from the distance! Good attempt, misses the target by a whisker.

45′:Ai??2 minutes of added time signalled by the assistant referee.

45+1′: That could well have been 3-0 for East Bengal. Tolgay brilliantly traps the ball on his chest to set up space to shoot, but unfortunately, the ball touches his hand and the referee is prompt to blow his whistle.

HT’: Here goes the half time whistle!

53′: Nice triangle set by Penn, Tolgay and Sanju – but Gurtej intercepts.

54′: Mehtab to Tolgay, who takes a brilliant turn and unleashes a snapshot which misses the target by a whisker. Brilliant skill on display by the Aussie striker.

55′: Pin-point ball distribution by Mehtab – who is orchestrating all the attacks from East Bengal midfield. Finds Tolgay unmarked on the edge of the box, but the Australian takes one touch too many and the ball is cleared by Rajeev.

56′: Another attack by the Red-&-Golds. This time Tolgay finds Penn on the edge of the box with a cute little back-pass. But an alert Arrows defense clears the danger.

57′: GOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLL! Here’s the third one for Red-&-Golds! Robert Lalthalamuana is the scorer. It’s a brilliant individual goal by the wing back. Robert receives the ball from Penn Orji on the left side of the midfield, runs through the length of Pailan half, cuts in and unleashes a left footed curler which crashes on to the back of Pailan Arrows net.

59′: Corner for East Bengal. Headed away to safety by one of the Arrows defenders.

60′: East Bengal 3-0 Pailan Arrows.

61′: GOOOAAAAALLLLLLL! Pailan Arrows pulls one back! Rajib Ghosh, who is incidentally an East Bengal product, produces an inch-perfect corner towards unmarked Pramathesh who makes no mistake to head the ball over East Bengal goal-line. It’s 3-1 now.

63′: Sub for East Bengal. Sushanth Mathew ON; Vashum OFF.

65′: What a miss by Tolgay! He should have burried this opportunity! Defense splitting pass by sub Sushanth Mathew which finds Tolgay unmarked inside the D – but Tolgay’s left footer is wide off target.

68′: Ruled out for offside! Tolgay slots the ball over Arrows goal-line after Naveen superbly saved Penn’s diagonal shot – but the linesman has his flag up.

70′: East Bengal 3-1 Pailan Arrows

72′: Change for Arrows this time. Bikramjit OFF; Milan ON.

74′: What a miss by Penn! He could not slot the ball home from just six yards out! Morgan is animated, and rightly so. East Bengal players are wasting chances to improve upon their goal difference.

75′: GOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL! Tolgay makes amends for his earlier misses to slot the ball in to an empty net after Arrows goalie Naveen Kumar missed to read the flight.

78′: Double change by Morgan. Mehtab OFF, Subodh ON; Tolgay OFF, Edmilson ON.

80′: East Bengal 4-1 Pailan Arrows

81′: Superb save by Naveen to deny newly recruited Brazilian Edmilson from scoring with his first touch! Corner for East Bengal.

82′: Poor flag kick delivery by Robert. Cleared away.

84′: Another attack by Red-&-Golds. Penn’s square pass towards Edmilson is cut short by Gurtej.

85′: Uga Okpara ventures out in attack, finds Penn on his right, but the Nigerian’s cross towards Edmilson is headed away by Lalrozama.

87′: Back to back shots on target by Edmilson and Penn. While Edmilson’s effort is blocked by Lalrozama, Penn’s effort deflects over the goal-line for a corner.

88′: Nothing comes out of Robert’s flag kick. Disappointing delivery once-again.

90′: 3 minutes of added time remaining to be played.

FT’: Beep Beep Beep. Here goes the final whistle! East Bengal outclassed the Arrows outfit by 4-1 margin to clinch the provisional pole position in the league standing, well just for the time being till Dempo takes on Air India tomorrow in a crucial game. DEMPO SC : Subhashish , Creson , Mahesh , Roy , Samir , Densil , Climax , Peter , Anthony , Koko , Ranti

0′ : So we begin here at the Balewadi Stadia as the Airmen take on mighty Dempo. Interesting tie this as statistics show that in the last 4 encounters we have in all 22 goals being scored. Each team has one 2 games. And all the games have recorded clean sheets !

5′ : Dempo as usual are dominating here in the early exchanges. Possession percentage could be roughly 80% – 20% but Air India are all set to absorb all the offensive play by the Goans

10′ : Oh and a nice chance for Anthony. He tried to lay the header for Koko but Goalkeeper Pawam collects it comfortably.

12′ : Ranti in some open space now and he attempts to chip the goalkeeper but thats an acrobatic display of skills by Pawan.

15′ : What a miss. What a miss !!! Open chance that and for a player like Ranti to not bury that is sinful. Brilliant cross by Anthony Periera from the right wing though.

25′ : Shouts of Penalty as Koko is brought down inside the D area. And Ranti to take it for Dempo. Saved. Saved !! That’s some story here. Goalkeeper Pawan Kumar makes sure Ranti Martins is having a off day and moreover still keeps a clean sheet for Air India.

30′ : Densil is making his debut for Dempo in this match and so far its been an average day out for the lad.

32′ : Its more than half an hour here at balewadi and Dempo should have been up by two goals. Ranti made a hash of both which include a penalty miss . The first chance was even an easier tap in !

37′ : Oh and what a let off for Dempo.Ai?? Mahesh Gawli comes to head the ball but misses it. Ball falls to Henry Ezeh who heads it past Subhashish but ball goes agonizingly wide !

42′ : That was nearly an own goal for Dempo. Freekick taken by Collin. Ball is up for Climax Lawrence to head out but it hit the bar and luckily goes out !

HALF TIME : Air IndiaAi?? 0Ai?? -Ai?? 0Ai?? Dempo SC

45′ : Second half begins here in Pune as Dempo have been shaky in the closing minutes after starting so well . Can Air India get a goal from somewhere to set the I-League wide open.

73′ : Dempo searching for the second goal but not creating clear cut chances. Can the Air India defense hold off and moreover push the midfield up to create chances of their own

75′ : GOOALAi?? GOAAALL ! Dempo score their second . Killer pass from debutant Densill and Koko slots home into the right top corner

82′ : Whoa Thats a penalty missed by Air India’s Henry Ezeh as he blasts it over the post. Second penalty miss of the day. Goal here could have meant a close last ten minutes but it wasn’t to be ! Up first the reason for penalty was Mahesh Gawli challenge on substitue Mandeep inside the box

85′ : AI SUB IN – Sandesh Gadkari , OUT – Henry Ezeh | Dempo SUB IN – Nicolau , OUT – Climax

87′ : GOOAL GOOAAL GOOOAL !!! Koko beats the offside tarp. Goalkeeper had already come out. Koko hot past Pawan Kumar and unselfishly passes onto Ranti Martins who slots into an open net

HAL Bangalore : Pramod , Chand , Kennath , Biju , Debnath , Karthikeyan , Sudheesh , Meetei , James , Vinod

3′ : Good positive start from the home team as HAL Goalkeeper is tested twice in two minutes.

8′ : Luciano Sabroso gets enough of the ball there to deflect pass a diving Metie inside the D area .

13′ : GOOOAAAL ! Fransis Fernandes scores for the champions. Completely unmarked and Salgaolar have an early lead. HAL were competitive uptil now and that was really not what Thyagraj wanted !

Salgaokar SCAi?? 1Ai?? -Ai?? 0Ai?? HAL Banglore

18′ : HAL are playing better football here in Goa. Their midfield has been combining well but a final pass upfront is whats killing all the moves. But another goal for the home team could just open the game

24′ : No real build up play and goal bound opportunities for Salgaokar since the goal. HAL on the other hand have been making couple of half attempt on the goal though not on target.

27′ : Vinod Kumar on the run and he gets past Sabroso but goalkeeper Vinay Kumar comes outside the box and that was a close encounter.

35′ : HAL have been playing decent football here in Goa. Doesnot look ike a team with just three points against there name

40′ : Ryuji Seoko has been the only liveware for Salgaokar in this half. Else the Greens from Goa can be only differentiated by that solitary goal .Ai??

45′ : Half time beckons as HAL have surprisingly played a better game after conceding . On the other hand Salgaokar must up the ante if they want to secure all three points without any hiccups as already in Pune and Shillong likewise Dempo SC and Churchill Brothers have sealed victories

HALF TIME : Salgaokar SCAi?? 1Ai?? -Ai?? 0Ai?? HAL Banglore

46′ : Second half begins as the defending Champions take on the bottom side HAL Banglore.

50′ : Salgaokar did begin with some energy in this half too like the first one but now it seems that HAL are pressing well enough to trouble the home side.

52′ : Meetie for HAL and Tomba Singh for Salgakoar have a had a good physical game so far in the midfield

55′ : Colaco’s ball in from the right wing , Ryuji Seoka’s header and Goalkkeper Pramod is no where. GOOOAAAALL for Salgaokar !

Salgaokar SCAi?? 2Ai?? -Ai?? 0Ai?? HAL Bangalore

60′ : Beautiful football from Salgaokar and Beevan has been brought down just outside the box and the home team earn a free kick.

64′ : Looks like HAL are losing the plot here now. The fitness levels are to be questioned now as the Champions are full in control at this stage.

67′ : Oh and that hit the cross bar from some 40 yards. What an effort. Ryuji put the ball inside the nets but he was in an off side position

70′ : HAL now once again on the offensive but they have left they back wide open and Salgaokar on the counter attack and Gilbert Olievera gets past Chand and glides in the third goal

Salgaokar SCAi?? 3Ai?? -Ai?? 0Ai?? HAL Bangalore

75′ : And that went agonizingly close. Beevan D’mello deserved that goal. has worked very hard throughout the match

79′ : HAL surge ahead along with R C Prakash but they lack the cutting edge upfront as that opportunity for Vinod Kumar was just a bit high. Sums up the effort from the Bangalore side.

81′ : Lilyan Kennath gets his second yellow card and that’s an automatic RED now !

85′ : GOAL !!!!!! What an absolute beauty ! Neatly setup for randeep Singh who had just come in for Francis Fernandes.

Salgaokar SCAi?? 4Ai?? -Ai?? 0Ai?? HAL Bangalore

90′ : Salgaokar seal three points and enter into the top 5 league standings but probably for a very short time as Pune in sixth place play next !
