Chelsea Left Back Ashley Cole Adds Fresh Twist To The Terry-Ferdinand Saga.
In response, Ashley Cole launched a scathing attack aimed at the administration on Twitter calling them a ai???bunch of twats.ai??? Coleai??i??s comments were retweeted over 20,000 times causing significant damage to FAai??i??s reputation. Cole deleted the tweet 85 minutes later and issued an unreserved apology to the FA. Cole said that the outburst was in the heat of the moment and did not reflect his feelings towards the sport apex administrative body.
After Terryai??i??s retirement from international football it could be Coleai??i??s turn next. Several ex-players most notably Alan Shearer have criticised the England international for his lack of respect and have called for a ban. The superb form of Leighton Baines over recent weeks could also make that decision easier.
Paul Lambert Sues Norwich City; The Canaries Return The Favour
After Paul Lambertai??i??s acrimonious exit from Carrow Road, it has emerged that the former Norwich City manager and his club have sued each other for breach of contract. Norwich City chairman Alan Bowkett informed supporters that Lambert was suing them, to which the Aston Villa boss expressed his disappointment and revealed that Norwich City are suing him as well.
Lambert had a highly successful time at Norwich City, helping the team secure back to back promotions before finishing 12th in the league last year. His performances alerted the likes of Aston Villa who pounced for his signature.
Lambert put in his resignation after the end of last season but this was rejected by Norwich City. The Canaries were also unsuccessful in securing any sort of compensation package from Aston Villa when Lambert joined. The Villans refused to negotiate any deal with Norwich City as Lambert was a free agent in their eyes.
The League Managers Association (LMA) will be representing Paul Lambert in court and the manager has expressed his gratitude at their continuing support. The case is scheduled to be heard next spring and it will be interesting to note which way the verdict goes.
